I took the girls to the library to turn in their summer reading logs. As we were leaving a car was backing up and I said “Wait, he can’t see you!” Both girls stopped and immediately started telling me it was a girl. Bug even went on to say “besides, Dad’s would never take their kids to the library!”
I stopped for a moment and said “Well, your dad would.” And that started a whole new conversation. She went on to say that of course our dad would, he’s different. Next thing I know we were talking about what makes a good parent. She then said “Well, my kids will have a good daddy like I do. And even if they don’t, they will have a great aunt and a great grandma!”
I love her.
