Early Sunday Morning: The Pearl Harbor Diary of Amber Billows

Early Sunday Morning: The Pearl Harbor Diary of Amber Billows, a Dear America book, is very good throughout the whole book. The sad part is it’s only 129 pages.

It’s  about Amber and how her dad’s job makes them travel alot. This time they move to Hawaii. She writes in a different diary every time they move. Her mom is pregnant and has to eat right but when the Japanese bomb Pearl Harbor the town goes quiet and most stores have lines outside because they are only letting 2 or 3 people in at a time, so it’s really hard and they are greatful when people bring fresh grown vegetables for Christmas. It was a funny, sad, and an exciting book.
